At the request of the Chambre des Métiers et de l’Artisanat du Nord Pas-de-Calais, Laurence Mieg made several presentations on her work to students in the applied arts department of University of Lille 3 – Science and Technology.
Laurence Mieg has had the opportunity to make reveal her caning craft to high school students in “ébénisterie” (wood craft) and “Brevet des métiers d’art” (two-year university degree in the applied arts) of the Lycée Professionnel Charlotte Perriand in Genech.
Twice in 2019 she welcomed students for training in caning and rush weaving to prepare them for the CAP examination, a professional certification. She also corrects the examinations in caning and rush weaving at the Institut de Jeunes Aveugles (Collège Lavoisier, Lambersart.)
