Come and restore it with me!!
- come to the workshop with your own chair (or armchair or whatever) and restore it during several 2-hour periods each.
- you can use my tools and I work with you step-by-step for removing the caning, preparing the wood to be caned afterwards and then staining the cane.
- I supply the cane material so you will be able to progress at home at your own pace until the next appointment.
- I can also lend you specific tools when you’re working at home (a 100€ check as a security deposit will be asked and returned when the tools are)
- Price of the course is 35€ / hour, cane and others products supplied, with a minimum 4 appointments in restoration corresponding to the 4 basic steps (removal and preparation, warps, wefts, diagonals, border and staining).
Note: The number of courses will depend on your manual skill and the the restoration work required by your piece!
Courses take place in the Cysoing studio (space for 2 persons).
